Meet Danica
Your Nurse Psychotherapist
I started my nursing journey in 2015 and after graduating I entered the workforce working in orthopaedic surgery. I soon realized this was not in alignment with my passion and strengths and so then pivoted my career to focus in mental health!
I have since gained experience working in an inpatient acute psychiatry unit as well as counselling in a women's health clinic. I then completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with the Ottawa Institute of CBT. I also sit on the executive board with the Mental Health Nursing Interest Group (MHNIG) with the Registered Nursing Association of Ontario (RNAO) which I have enjoyed for 4+ years!

I now work as a RN, Psychotherapist registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as well as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) registered to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

I take a holistic and eclectic approach to psychotherapy by pulling from my nursing background to include both mind and body. I am passionate about working with those wanting to work through: anxiety and depression 14 years and up as well as big life changes/transitions such as relationship breakups (family, friends and romantic) job changes, and life direction! I am passionate about women empowerment and advocacy work. My main focus is on your Relationship with Self.
